The Mayor’s Department is responsible for a number of core services in the City of Odense, including:

Planning
Finance
Communication
International relations
Joint procurement service for the City of Odense
It also handles legal matters and provides secretarial services to the mayor, the finance committee and the council.

There are around 500 employees in the Mayor's Department.
